I’ve recently found myself lost within the energy of various atmospheres. This causing me to fall away from who I’ve come to be and who I am becoming. I was once told “if you find that you lost yourself, you weren’t who you think you were in the first place.” To better interpret this quote, it’s almost as if at one point I lived in the light at the end of the tunnel and I ventured back into that tunnel, but now I’m on my way back to that light and it’s almost as if the trip back isn’t the same as the first time traveled. It seems harder; to go from I unaccepted by most to accepted and back to unaccepted. But I can’t care about what people think. I must care about what is right, truth, purposeful, and what produces production. Much of what I say or do now may not be understood or accepted, but in the end it will be seen what being “ME” has truly done. I make the oath to fight every plight on my people; to uplift and aid my people; to sustain and create for my people; to change to World of my people. I do not promote separatism, while I do collectivism. I believe Malik El Hajj Shabazz (Malcolm X) once said something along the lines of “we must learn to unite as a Black/Afrikan people before we can with any other race.” I will forever be me regardless of the ridicule that one who is different or unaccepted receives. I will wear my passion for my people on my sleeve. I will not “sleep” until I have fulfilled my oath….

"Ignorance of each other is what has made unity impossible in the past. Therefore we need enlightenment. We need more light about each other. Light creates understanding, understanding creates love, love creates patience, and patience creates unity. Once we have more knowledge (light) about each other, we will stop condemning each other and a United front will be brought about."

Affirm: Welcome back…to myself.
